JOE BETTENCOURT has lived in Southern California his whole life. He has lived and worked in Encinitas--coastal northern San Diego--since 1995. His many accomplishments in the area include residential construction and remodeling in Del Mar, Solana Beach, Leucadia, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Encinitas, Olivenhain, Rancho Santa Fe, Carlsbad, La Costa, and Oceanside. Joe has completed projects in numerous other areas throughout San Diego and Los Angeles, as well. He is a licensed California General Contractor who knows and thoroughly understands the technical aspects of California building and has been working in the industry since 1977. He enjoys building and remodeling and considers himself lucky to be doing what he loves.

JOE has a complete understanding of and talent for design, striking an unusual and rare balance between the artistic side and the technical side of building. He often both designs and builds for his clients. Joe is absolutely a nuts-and-bolts builder as well as a creative designer and conceptual thinker. His knowledge of both design and construction allows Joe to work seamlessly and efficiently with architects and designers throughout the industry. His technical skills enable him to completely understand the engineering aspects and constraints of building, as well.

JOE fully understands the region's Building Codes and all the engineering aspects of building and remodeling in California. Joe's many happy clients are testament to his skills and professionalism. OUTSIDE of work, Joe enjoys boating around Catalina Island, hiking with his wife Sheila and their yellow Lab, playing his guitars, swimming, working on his boat, building custom furniture, and exploring California's great outdoor regions.
